Cool is an aesthetic of attitude, behavior, comportment, appearance, style and Zeitgeist. Because of the varied and changing connotations of cool, as well its subjective nature, the word has no single meaning. While each generation feels that "real" cool is something pure and existential known only to them, that it was founded in their time by them, there is not one single concept because one of the main aspects of cool is its mutability—what is seen as cool will change from time to time, from place to place and from generation to generation. This site is an online treasure map to cool people, places and things that the artists, musicians, writers, fashion designer engineer and anthropologist which comprise the creative team of Cool Life KY Productions,llc want to throw out there for you. Our new streamlined site is being developed and will slowly roll out online over the coming weeks. The focus of our website is to share our creative lives with you and to play our part in supporting the growth of Kentucky's creative industries. About Us

Cool Life KY Productions, llc

CLKY is an artists-owned commercial arts production company dedicated to forging new collaborative relationships between talented people with exciting ideas and classic business practices in order to create exhilarating projects of significant artistic and commercial value. Our exclusive focus is the promotion of Lexington-based creative professionals with original and contemporary approaches to the visual and performing arts who use their art to deliver spiritual messages of hope, courage and love.

Cool Life KY Productions is composed of three distinct entities:

· Cool Rooster Studios: a 7500 sf, multi-faceted, visual and performing arts production facility located at 1151 Manchester Street

· Tuska Studio: a multi-venue museum and fine arts foundry

· Marketing KY: an investment, marketing and agency business unit being developed specifically to fund, promote and manage the intellectual property and creative portfolio of CLKY projects

Early Defined Goals of CLKY

To support and invest in people with vision who are innovative voices looking to build reputations and in supporting the economic development of Lexington’s creative industries.
To develop new and original culturally significant works and projects necessary for developing a national reputation in visual and performing arts production. Cool Life KY’s Production criteria for selection will be commercial potential, originality of concept and message.
To be a catalyst for new creative relationships in which ideas can achieve their full potential.
To develop the projects in a professional and cost-effective manner.
To maximize potential revenue by our participation in the early stages of a project or artist(s) life. This enables Cool Life KY’s Productions to fully realize the benefits from the subsidiary rights (film, television, internet and merchandising) and other royalty-based commercial activities.
To brand and franchise Cool Life KY’s Productions by producing - either directly, through co-production or through licensed productions - projects and artists which are endorsed by our company.

Cool Rooster Studio’s first commercial production is an original rock/folk opera called THE SHOW!. Part Homer's Odyssey, part The Stephen Foster Story, part Cirque du Soleil and part STOMP! – THE SHOW! is a theatrical feast for the senses that, in reality, is a one hour lesson on finding the courage and freedom to live the life you were meant to live. It is the story of a young rock star who loses everything, and in the process awakens to a path of spiritual purpose more fulfilling than he could have ever imagined. THE SHOW! will officially debut in Fall 2008 but numerous ‘staged read through’ performance concerts are being planned throughout the Spring and Summer in the Kentuckiana Region. In these sessions audiences will get their first exposure to the unique concept for THE SHOW! as well as the individual performers and visual artists that have collaborated to create this unique theatrical production.
